Rifò is a circular fashion brand that produces a clothing line made with regenerated fibres, completely produced in the Prato textile district. With the support of local companies, they transform old clothing and textile waste into a new yarn that they use to create our collections.

Rifò was born from the desire to launch a courageous project with particular attention paid to sustainability and local craftsmanship.

Rifò contacted Nama in 2020, for the migration of its site from WooCommerce to Shopify. They needed an integrated, high-performance e-commerce, capable of supporting a mass of data and traffic in line with a fast-growing startup. In particular, they have always been fascinated by Shopify's simplicity of use even for people who do not have an "IT" background and its scalability for any future internationalization operations.

Our solution

With in-depth knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, Nama prepared an action plan for the migration and to best meet Rifò's requirements.
At the time of migration (2020), Shopify's native features had some limitations in respect to Rifò's requirements, so apps like Langify were integrated to manage multi-language or Accentuate to extend products, collections and blogs and show additional content in the front-end.

Some of the most interesting challenges were implementing the pre-order and a donation selector within the product page. The custom changes were made at the product master data level, with the use of metafields, the store front-end and throughout the purchase process, including transactional order confirmation emails.

Results

After the launch of the new site, Nama continued to support Rifò during their first year with Shopify, working on new features and implementations.
